The GLAAD Wrap: More True Blood, a Peak at Torchwood, and Bryan Safi Takes on the Housewives

Every week, The GLAAD Wrap brings you LGBT-related entertainment news highlights, fresh stuff to watch out for, and fun diversions to help you kick off the weekend.1) Last week we ended the column with a first look at the new season of HBO's True Blood, so why not kick things off with another new trailer for one of the most inclusive shows on TV?  This one provides a better look at the witches' coven LaFayette and Jesus join, and a better look at new regular character Marnie, a witch played by out actress Fiona Shaw. Binary DataJpPVwV2WeWE.2) Miracle Day is coming.  The new season of Torchwood is set to premiere this summer on Starz.  No sight yet of any Captain Jack conquests, but we know they're coming.  Meanwhile, openly gay actor John Barrowman is saying of  Jack that "the one thing that I'm exceptionally proud of, and that I know Russell [T. Davis] is, we've got a bisexual hero, or an omni-sexual hero, played by an openly gay man. And that may be tooting my own horn a bit, but it's a big first in our industry, and I'm really proud to be part of that."  R.I.P. Ianto. Binary DataoQTUp8U88qg.3) Following in the footsteps of the Dragon Age series, executive producer Casey Hudson confirmed over Twitter that the highly anticipated video game Mass Effect 3 will "support wider options for love interests incl. same-sex for m&f chars, reactive to how you interact w/them in-game." The announcement set of a flurry of online debating, but to quote Dragon Age writer David Gaiter, "the person who says that the only way to please them is to restrict options for others is, if you ask me, the one who deserves it least.".4) Filmmaker Anthony Alcalde is hoping make a documentary about a dance troupe getting prepared for Carnaval in Nicaragua, that will also serve as a look into that country's gay community and struggle for equality.  View the trailer for Ekatombe below, and click here to visit Anthony's Kickstarter page. Binary DatatQlM3_scnC8.5) The GLAAD Media Award nominated drama Pretty Little Liars premieres a new season on June 14, and they've released an intriguing new trailer you can watch below.  "Zombies Don't Text!"Binary DataYSyYPM68Oo0.6) Opening this weekend in Los Angeles is Spork, an 80s set comedy about an intersex teenager trying to survive the public school system that picked up a number of accolades on the LGBT film festival circuit last year.  Check out the trailer below, and look for the film to expand to more areas in the coming weeks: Binary DataVZ5TdPg5Xy8.7) And finally, Current TV's Bryan Safi is back this week with a new "That's Gay" segment skewering the "gay ornaments" of the Real Housewives series with his trademark snark and wit:
